Julian & Marie took the train from Chicago to Lynchburg giving them some good quality time together.
It was cool the first morning so Julian and Grandpa Stephen built a fire.
Julian & Marie enjoying the morning fire.
First stop along the Blue Ridge was Otter Creek.
Julian was glad to have his feet on the ground. He said Grandpa Walter's driving through the turns and hills of the Blue Ridge made him green in the gills.
Grandpa Walter disappears and is finally found across the river and up in the rocks
Julian finds the foot stones down river and joins Grandpa Walter on the other side.
Maybe next year we'll teach him how to shoot a rifle.
This country life seems to agree with them!
Julian, Marie & Grandpa Stephen smile for the camera before moving on down the road.
Acting as tour guide, Grandpa Stephen makes sure Julian sees he is above the clouds.
A final look before we go to lunch.
Julian had one final request and that was for a ride in the roadster. Marie agreed, so we buckled up and I headed for the Lynchburg expressway. On our way back, with the mountains looming in front of us, Julian said, "Grandpa, when you pass can I have this car?"
Yes, Julian, you can have the roadster.
