Our good friend, Jim Henderson, flew down from

Chicago to visit us.  The following day we went to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA.  They specialize in late 20th and 21st century art.  Unfortunately, they do not allow pictures.

Monday turned out to be an extremely foggy day with low clouds but no rain.

We drove to the Blue Ridge Mountains where Jim and Stephen took a hike along the very foggy Table Rock Trail ........    

......while Walter waited at the rock listening to Haydn's The Creation.

From there we went to Peaks of Otter and walked around the lake.
 

Half way across the lake, we spotted a Great Blue Heron.  Until it moved we weren't sure if it was real or not!

Jim flew back on Tuesday ending another fantastic visit!
