It was time for a party. Sara had been working hard in Richmond, Roy had been working hard in Lynchburg, and Helen (Sara's sister) had been chomping at the bit to meet us.
Sara and Helen arrived first. Sara had her fav mixers with her and Helen was carrying food! Hugs and intros all around as we immediately went down to the bar so Helen and Sara could relieve themselves of the gifts they were bearing. One should never have to go on a house tour empty handed; I mixed drinks so Stephen could show Helen the house while Sara and I chewed the fat. I motioned to Sara's right and she yelled, "My mask, my mask!"
Finally... Sara got the Peacock feathered mask I had made for her.
Roy arrived from work while Helen and Stephen made their way back to the bar.
OK, so we had a few more drinks and nibbled on the food while conversation flowed all around.
The food was going fast and the booze kept flowing. Yes, a few more cocktails later and no one was feeling any pain.
It was a delight to meet Helen who is welcomed to return anytime!
And by the end of the day, a good time was had by all.
p.s. I apologize in advance for posting all these pics, but the progression was just too good to pass up.
