Sunday May 7, 2017 Peony, iris, azalia, alium, and Blackie the cat.

Springtime in Lynchburg can last for months, unlike Chicago where it seemed to last for a week or two. Perhaps it's false memories, but Springtime in Lynchburg, especially on our property, is superb.

Part of Stephen Boydstun's peony garden 2017. We had a nice show this year.

Another iris but I forgot the name.

This one of the neighborhood cats; we call him Blackie.  He has been visiting us for years.  Here he is, sitting on the wooden steps in the front 40, either contemplating the glories of nature, or, more probably, contemplating the glories of catch a mole.
