This year, the summer perennials seemed to get started later than usual. By June 19th, the garden looked like it was just getting started, with monarda, always a humming bird fav, astilbe, pink and blue veronica, and a few early planted glads in bloom. These less deep red and more pink monarda are growing exceptionally well this year. Last year I wasn't sure they would make it.
Another summer garden on the way!
